Proof reading a CV is vital and can be the difference between you landing that dream job and not. Ideally once you have written your CV and read it a few times (I would suggest re-reading it the next day as well to double check), you should ask a friend or relative to have a look over it for you as it is often a lot easier for someone else looking at a CV with a fresh set of eyes to notice mistakes.
Common mistakes made include, leaving statements, qualifications / employment history and even contact details on a CV that do not relate to you. This may happen if you have used someone else’s CV as a template for your own.
Never make the font too large so as to fill the page of a CV (size 10-12 is often good depending on font type) but also do not make it too small as it can be hard to read.
