GCSE results looming, time to start applying for jobs

If you have decided to go in to full time employment when you have completed your GCSE’s, the next few weeks may help you chose your path in to the recruitment process.

Many employers ask for a certain level of GCSE grades if you wish to apply for a position they have advertised. This is often grades A – C GCSE in Maths and English. This is because for most jobs you need this level of understanding of the subjects to allow you to be able to fulfil the job role advertised.

When looking for a job, there are a number of ways in which you can start your search. The Job Centre still offers a wide range of vacancies along with local newspapers but recruitment agencies and online jobs boards often have a larger amount in varied industries.

Finding a job is often a numbers game where you need to apply for many to get asked to a number of interviews. If then then make it through this process, you are well on the way to landing the job you wanted.
